500GB 3.5" Toshiba hard drive, approx 7-8 years old. The drive has not suffered any knocks, drops or spilt drinks but has simply stopped reading data and is making a clicking noise as though it is having trouble spinning up. I have tried accessing the data through a USB data cable to no avail. I would simply need the photos retrieving from the drive if possible. Could you please provide me with a ballpark quote for the work?
I have WD My Passport USB HDD which has developed a fault. I cannot open the drive and get the an error saying a hardware fault has been encountered. When I opend the disk a message appeared asking me to scan and repair the disk. This process ran for an hour or so and appears to have stalled near the end. Is there anything you can do to retrieve the data from the disk?
